Commissioners are the legislative branch of the County government and are key policy makers for the county.
- Commissioners:
- Work closely with the County Manager to oversee operations
- Review and approve the county’s operating budget
- Are bound by the laws and Constitution of Colorado and the United States
- Operate in an open and transparent manner
- Actively sit on advisory boards and represent the county
- Determine and assess county taxes as approved by the voters of the county
